Mona Lisa smiles
Have you heard of the Khan Academy? I knew how awesome it was for math but now Smarthistory has joined up with them and have videos you can watch about Art History. I watched one today about the Mona Lisa....

For more videos and I mean LOTS MORE...go to

Incidentally I use the Mona Lisa" as my attention getter....something else I learned on line. (http://cmae-adayinthelife.blogspot.ca/2013/08/art-room-improvements.html)
I call "Mona" and the kids respond "LISA" and then they do their best impersonation of the Mona Lisa...which means hands are folded--empty and quiet--not drawing or fidgeting, eyes are on me (the viewer) and they give me their most mysterious smile. Most fun is they have to respond in a similar voice and tone so sometimes I call "Mona" like a chipmunk, or a zombie, and they have to respond in kind. It works great!
